Gill Tract Community Farm Permaculture Action Weekend!
April 25, 2015 - April 26, 2015
Permaculture Action Weekend
at the UC Gill Tract Community Farm
Marin Ave & San Pablo Ave, Albany, CA
April 25th & 26th
Strong communities are the roots of resilience! Land like the Gill Tract offers us space to not only grow food, but to come together in the commons to grow our strength and resilience. Please join us this weekend, April 25 & 26th to reconnect and reweave all the beautiful threads of our community, as we celebrate our achievements, and look to the future.
Part of Earth Week at the Gill Tract! recognizing the 45th Anniversary of Earth Day with farming, workshops, panels, and fun in the spirit of the 45 year history of the Gill Tract Farm. We hope for a week-long a community reflection — multi generational, intersectional, discussing where we’ve been, where we are now, and what this moment calls on us to do in the interest of the next 7 generations.
Woven throughout the week is an intentional conversation on the past and future of the Gill Tract farm and what our place is in the local and international struggles for justice. What is the role of the Gill Tract in food system transformation? How can we center the voices and experiences of frontline workers in the food system? What is our space in struggles against racial and economic violence? Join us in reflecting and planting our intentions for the year ahead.
