We are excited to bring you the next installment in Climate Workers’ series “Worker Wisdom in a Changing Climate.” Each month, we bring you new interviews with union members and other workers whose lives and livelihoods are on the frontlines of climate change, and who are fighting back to defend our work, our health, and our planet.
This month we’re profiling Melissa Stoner:

“The water protectors are not illegal occupiers. If anyone is an illegal occupier, it is the oil company and the law enforcement that choose to help them. The oil company is destroying land that is used for ceremonies, land that has sacred items buried beneath it that are much older and are of greater significance than what any pipeline has to offer.”
