Free and open to the public!
“When Green Tech Isn’t Clean Tech” features ETC Group‘s Jim Thomas and Bay Area Fibershedvisionary Rebecca Burgess in conversation with Gopal Dayaneni, of Movement Generation.  They will discuss what we’re not hearing from promoters about the “false solutions” of green technology — their land grabs, environmental and safety risks, and threats.

This is the first event in a 2013 public lecture series, co-sponsored by Movement Generation.  The series includes four events that will discuss social and ecological issues arising with proposed biotech development in the Bay Area. The series is a joint effort between the Alliance for Humane Biotechnology, Center for Food Safety, ETC Group, Friends of the Earth, Global Justice Ecology Project, International Center for Technology Assessment, and Movement Generation Justice & Ecology Project.
